Shadow Effects Challenge at the Graph'it Marker Blog

Happy Friday all!!!

Today will especially happy for me as it is my birthday!! although I am writing this post on Wednesday evening so I can't tell you what I got just yet but may pop back with an extra post to let you know!

So today it is Team B's turn to give a little bit of extra inspiration for the current challenge over at the newly re-named Colouring Crazy Challenge (previously the Graph'it Marker challenge), this fortnight we would like to see you use your marker to create shadow effects....and remember any markers will do!!!!

Yet again we have some amazing prizes up for grabs so I do hope you can join in!

Here's what I did:

I did get a few early birthday presents from my lovely hubby, he treated me to the rest of the stamps and other goodies from the Gorguss range to complete my collection so I used one of my lovely new stamps and the matching papers.

I used my Grand Decorative oval nesties to cut out the image, I used my Graph'it markers to colour the image and also to create shadows and a background to make her pop of the page a bit more.

For final touches I used my Graph'it Shake white marker to add little dots all over the image and for borders around the card.

I used lace, ribbon and a corner die to finish off the card.

I hope you like it, I really enjoyed making it and finally feel like I am getting back into the swing of this crafting lark again :)

Why not pop over to the challenge to check out my colour list and see the other inspiration from my lovely teamies.

My Hero!

Hi everyone,

Today I'm sharing one of the samples I made for the  launch of Nikky Hall's fab new CD roms Work and Play Collection 1.

I absolutely love this collection, collection number 2 is also out now too so even more characters to play with ... I do have a few more samples to share with you too!

So here's the first, this is the super cute Fire woman!

Isn't she adorable, look at that cute little face!

I coloured her with my Graph'it Markers and added the luminous yellow with a highlighter pen ... which was so difficult as I only has one with a giant chisel tip!

The papers and sentiment are also from the CD.

For embellishments I added chipboard stars from a brand new line of products Nikky stocks from a company called Doobadoo, I coloured them in with my markers too.

I hope you like it.

Enjoy the rest of your week!

Spring Time pastels with Graph'it Markers.

Hi everyone did you miss me????

I sure missed you lot, I've been on quite a long break from blog land, life got a little in the way but now i'm back and boy have I missed my crafty space!

The lovely Nikky of Polkadoodles has been the most kind of boss ladies and kept my space on the Graph'it Marker challenge Blog open while I got my little life turned around enough to start crafting again.

So here we go .... it's time for a brand new challenge today and this time the theme is Spring Time Pastels ... here what I did:

I braved using the Mix'it Pallet and really wish I had used it long before now, its great to work woih and gives a Watercolour effect yet with markers.... cool eh?   And dint worry if you dont have Graph'it just yet you can use it with your other alcohol markers too!

The image and papers are all from LOTV, I used a selection of flowers and lace from WOC and the Dies are from Marianne.

I really hope you like it.

I'm looking forward to popping in and visiting you all too, i've so missed seeing your lovely works.

I hope you can pop over and join our challenge and while you're there check out the other DT makes and check out the full lists of colours we used on our creations.

Make it Pink with Graph'it Markers

Hi everyone, I hope you are all well and ready for the festivities to begin!!!

Firstly I'd like to say a huge sorry for neglecting you all for sooooo long, I had to take a little break from crafting and blogging as I've had a house full of the lurgy and soooo many hospital appointments with my girls I've barely had time to turn around.

Normal service should resume in the new year I promise! and I will make time to visit all of your beautiful blogs ASAP!!

So today see's a new challenge over at the Graph'it Marker colour challenge and this week we'd like to see you use your markers to create something PINK with a pattern!!!

Before I show my project I just wanted to share some quick news:

we have a *NEW* Graph'it show on
Create and Craft TV
TODAY at 11.00AM

Nikky will be showing us all some great hints and tips so
make sure you tune into the show which is on
Sky 671 or Freeview 36 or Virgin 748 or FreeSat 813
or you can also watch online at

So here's my project:

I've had this image for sooo long and not had chance to colour her up yet, she is called Snuggly from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and she is so adorable!

I used the blender pen and a fine liner to create the "plaid" effect on her PJ's.

I teamed her up with LOTV Nitwit paper's "always and forever.

Pop over to the challenge blog to see the other amazing samples and you will find my colour list too!

Before I go I would like to wish everyone the very Merriest of Christmases and a truly happy new year!

Dark Skin tones with Graph'it Markers

Hello all i'm here with my DT card for the Graph'it Marker Colouring Challenge.

Now this week we (the poor DT) have been challenged to colour dark skin tones with our lovely pens ... you on the other hand can enter as long as you have colour Dark Hair with any markers!!!

So easy peasy for you guys right????.

Now I must warn you that this was my first ever attempt at colouring darker skin ... and while there is lots and lots of room for improvement (really there is loads) I'm still pleased I gave it a try - dont be too hard on me when you see it ... i'll be hiding under the table if you want me :)

I used this adorable image from Krista Smith called Jumper (sorry guys I couldn't find her in the shop to give the link)

The papers were from my scraps box and I used my Grand nesties to create the shaped card blank.

The sentiment is a new one from Stampin' Up.

I hope you like it, I would love to see you join our challenge this week!

For the love of Craft!

I'm a bit late with my DT card for the new challenge at Digi Chooseday at the Polkadoodles Blog .... and for once it's not my fault ... is anyone else having trouble uploading photo's cos I sure am and its driving me CRAAAAAAAAZY!

Any hoo's  this week we would love to see all of your "Craft" themed projects.

So without further "ado" here's my very CAS project!

I've used the super sweet Emma Canning Colour me happy digi and coloured her up with my Graph'it markers.

The background is done with co-ordinations cardstock in an embossing folder which I then sanded and added liquid pearls to the centers of the flowers.

I finished of with a knot and a bow in coordinating silky crush ribbon and some bling!

I hope you like it.

The team have some fabulous inspiration for you so why not pop over to the blog and take a look.
